On the outskirts of downtown Houston sits a giant structure once known as the Eighth Wonder of the World. It was the first ever domed stadium, one of the top attractions in the US and the largest indoor space ever conceived at the time of its construction.
It wasn’t to last, though. For more than 15 years now, the legendary venue has been abandoned and seemingly left to rot. But could an ambitious $1BN redevelopment plan finally answer the question of what to do with the Astrodome?
