Video Editor

London / Remote | £40k per annum

The B1M is the world’s leading video publisher for construction. Our mission is to fundamentally change the world’s perception of this critical industry through our content.

Our award winning productions have earned us the largest video audience in the architecture and construction sectors worldwide. We’ve filmed inside nuclear fusion reactors, under the streets of Tokyo and on top of the world’s tallest buildings. The Times has recognised us as one of the 20 best educational channels in the world.

In September 2026 we are launching an exciting new channel featuring interviews and analysis on the world’s most impressive megaprojects from the people who build them. We are looking for a talented full-time Video Editor to join our team, creating content ready for distribution.

The ideal candidate will be a proficient, technical and organised editor, able to take edits from media management through to audio / color mixing and delivery. They will be proactive and able to hit the ground running when they join the business, balancing multiple edits and deadlines.

In addition, the candidate should be a proficient videographer, confident of setting up an interview using 2-cameras and 3 point lighting. They will have experience shooting on Sony A7S, FX6 or similar.

The B1M’s team has a passion for bringing stories to our audience in an engaging way that stops people in their tracks. We want someone who loves factual content, and who can help us in our mission to bring the world of construction to the masses

  • Assist shooting interviews and B-roll.
  • Balance multiple edits and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Integrate graphics and motion elements, suggesting external support where it could add value and lift the overall story.
  • Deliver feedback to videographers and/or producers on possible production improvements.
  • Create video thumbnails.

What you’ll bring

  • A proven track record of video editing in a digital environment.
  • Experience shooting on Sony A7S, FX6 cameras or similar.
  • Experience setting up and shooting interviews in short time frames
  • The ability to craft a strong, compelling story.
  • Familiarity with editing software; ideally the Adobe suite including Premiere, Photoshop and After Effects.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of production and post-production workflows
  • The ability to incorporate feedback into projects.
  • The ability to coordinate with your colleagues in a fast-changing, high pressure environment.
  • A familiarity with The B1M’s tone of voice and style.
  • An understanding of what makes a great video.

This is a permanent, full-time role with a six-month probation period. You will be required to undertake paid test-edits as part of the selection process.
