It’s one of the largest new rail projects in Europe. Extending over 800-kilometres, Rail Baltica will connect Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania with their first high-speed line.These nations have been lacking a modern railway since the fall of the Soviet Union, and the scheme is a key priority for the EU. With stations designed by world-leading architects and hundreds of bridges to build, this is the Baltics’ biggest project for 100 years.
The $260M landmark first welcomed visitors in 2019, but has been closed since 2021 after several people tragically died by suicide at the structure.
Designed by Foster + Partners, the Changfeng scheme will offer retail, offices and affordable housing, an arts centre united by a central “green spine” street.
If approved and constructed, the 241-metre tower would be the third tallest skyscraper in the UK.
