“Whether you wire something, build something, design something or negotiate the contracts for it, it’s physically there – homes, offices, railways are used every day” she adds.

Sarah goes on to explain the buzz that comes from collaborating with great people.

She cites one project where all members of the team – client, project manager, design team, contractor and solicitor – all came together for a project party. “We showed a video of what we had built so far and it made me really proud to be a part of that team” adds Sarah.

Looking forward, Sarah says that she loves what the future holds for the industry, particularly around technology innovation and digital construction.

“The technology movement that’s going on at the moment is so exciting to be a part of. The things people can do, the technology that’s being created and what’s coming out of that is absolutely fantastic”
